This Privacy Policy explains how RedCurtain.ai (“RedCurtain,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the RedCurtain website and services (the “Service”). We are committed to handling adult-content data with particular care.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Anonymous session identifier. If you use the Service without an account, a random identifier stored in a cookie so your creations stay attached to your browser.
- Content you create. The prompts, character settings, chat messages, and the images and videos generated from them.
- Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used for security and to operate the Service.
- Payment data. If you purchase, our payment processor handles your card details. We receive limited transaction data (e.g. status and subscription level), not full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To generate the content you request via our AI providers.
- To create and manage your account and process payments.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and illegal content.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Service), to comply with legal obligations, and, where required, with your consent.
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session (an authentication cookie for logged-in users and an anonymous identifier for logged-out users) and to remember your confirmation that you are 18 or older. We do not use these cookies for third-party advertising. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- AI providers that generate images, video, and text from your prompts.
- Infrastructure providers for hosting, database, and media storage.
- Payment processors to handle transactions.
- Email or communication providers to send account messages.
- Authorities when required by law, or to investigate and prevent illegal content or harm.
These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your companions, media, or account at any time; we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. 9. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children
The Service is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has used the Service, we will terminate the account and delete the data. See our Content & Conduct Policy.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
